Lombardi Beer Company has adopted “Work/Play” as its tagline because we feel that beer has always been synonymous with both work and play.
Harry Lombardi, John’s great-grandfather, lived on East 14th Street in the Sheepshead Bay section of Brooklyn, New York. He ran a butcher shop in the Meatpacking District. Harry embodied the duel purpose of “Work/Play” better than anybody, so much so that he had those words tattooed on his knuckles.
A good beer has always served as a reward after a hard day’s work, whether at home on Sunset Circle in 1967 or out on the town today. A good beer is also the anchor for a great party, a pregame tailgate or a small gathering of friends. We think that Lombardi Beers are a perfect choice for any occasions.
